We keep your personal information safe, handle it carefully, and only use it to run the housing services you've asked us for. This page explains exactly how.
Placetostay is a Lisbon-based housing services team. We operate across Lisbon and currently do not maintain a public office address. For any privacy question you can reach us at [email protected]. We are the data controller for the information you share with us.
Only the Placetostay team, the property owner of the specific unit you reserve, and service providers we are legally required to share with (accountant, Portuguese tax authority, payment processor). We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months. Rental contract data is kept for 10 years as required by Portuguese law. Accounting records are kept for 10 years. You can ask us to delete enquiry data earlier at any time.
This site uses only essential cookies to remember that you've accepted this notice and to run Google Translate if you switch languages. We do not use advertising, tracking or third-party analytics cookies.
Under the GDPR and Portuguese law (Lei n.º 58/2019) you can ask us, at any time, to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or restrict how we use it. Just email [email protected] — we reply within 30 days. If you believe we've mishandled your data you can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) at cnpd.pt.
We store your data on encrypted drives and our web services run over HTTPS. Access to contracts is restricted to the small Placetostay team.
