Placetostay is a housing services startup based in Lisbon. We provide furnished rooms and apartments — studios to twelve-bedroom homes — for students, interns and young professionals on medium and long-term stays.

Our story

Why we started.

Moving to a new city is already difficult — the last thing anyone needs is a broken fridge, a missing bedframe, or a landlord who won't reply. We started Placetostay to fix exactly that, first for one flat, then for our friends, and eventually for the dozens of families across Lisbon who trust us with their apartments.

Today we run a mix of apartments we own ourselves and apartments we manage on behalf of local landlords. Every listing is inspected, furnished, and photographed by us. Every tenant is somebody we've spoken to directly — not a form submission in a CRM.

For landlords

Hand us the keys, we'll handle the rest.

Tenant sourcing — we photograph, list, screen, and onboard tenants from our own international pipeline.
Rent collection & reporting — paid on time, transferred monthly, with one clean statement per property.
Maintenance & cleaning — our on-call crew handles every issue between turnovers. You stop getting late-night calls.
Compliance — deposits, tax declarations, Livro de Reclamações, contracts — everything in order, so you sleep well.
